Personal Training
Take the guesswork out of fitness and begin training toward the realization of your goals. This can be done with a highly individualized training program designed for you by one of our nationally certified personal trainers. You will begin with a fitness assessment to find where you are today and then begin training toward your fitness goals. Your personal trainer will educate, motivate, and inspire you every step of the way.

How to Register
- Go to UREC’s Fusion Portal(not the same as IMLeagues).
- Every LSU student and Faculty & Staff UREC member should already have an UREC Fusion Portal account, and be able to login using their MyLSU credentials.
- Using your MyLSU credentials without “@lsu.edu”, “SIGN IN” where it states “Already Have an Account”. There is no need to create a new account.
- Note: If you do not have a MyLSU account but are a UREC member, please contact the LSU UREC Operations Desk to set up your account.
- Note: Because your login information is established through your MyLSU ID and MyLSU password, you are unable to reset your password through UREC’s Online Portal and/or for IMLeagues. If you click “reset password,” you will get an error message saying you are “Unable to Reset Password. Your account is managed in another system. Please use their tools to manage your password.”
- After signing into the UREC Fusion Portal, you will be directed to the IMLeagues Account Creation page.
- Next, you will be redirected to the IMLeagues website where you can reserve your spot for GroupX classes by selecting the “Fitness” option.
- Log in to your IMLeagues account.
- Click on the Fitness tab near the top of the page.
- When the class is open for registration, select the class you want to register for by clicking on the class in the Fitness Calendar or select the green “Sign Up” button.
- You will be directed to the specific class page where you will confirm your registration.
- Click “Accept” after reading the waiver agreement and click the blue “Sign Up” button again.
- You are now confirmed for class and will see your name on the class roster.
- Download the IMLeages APP on your phone for easier registration.
- Allows you to register for classes from your phone with ease.
- Log in to your IMLeagues account.
- Click on the Fitness tab near the top of the page.
- When the class is open for registration, select the class you want to cancel by clicking on the class in the Fitness Calendar.
- Please cancel your class registration prior to the allotted times to avoid a penalty:
- Classes prior to 4:00 p.m. – cancel class reservation at least one hour prior to class start time.
- Evening classes after 4:00 p.m. – cancel class reservation by 4:00 p.m.
- Click the red “Unregister for Session” button.
If you cannot make a class, we ask that you cancel your reservation allowing another participant into the class. If you do not show for your class and/or do not cancel your reservation, the following action will be taken:
- First offense: Email warning
- Second offense: Email warning
- Third Offense: Excluding the grace period during the first 2 weeks of each semester, 3 no-shows and/or failure to cancel an IMLeagues reservation 1-hour prior to the scheduled class will result in a $10.00 fee on the student’s fee bill through the LSU Bursar’s Office. This $10 fee will be assessed each time a student has 3 no-show classes in any given semester.
GroupX Class Descriptions

Cycle Interval
Are you looking to improve your cardiovascular fitness, but cannot commit to your own cardio routine? Cycle is a great way for you to get your cardio in and have a great time doing it.
Participants can expect:
- To climb, sprint, or ride and indoor cycle in intervals to improve your cardiovascular endurance.
- A fun atmosphere that both motivates and challenges all fitness levels.

Cycle: Tiger Beat
Come enjoy an intensely fun ride with us! This cycle class features high-intensity cardio and rhythm-based choreography.
Participants can expect:
- Movements like push-ups and isolations to strength the upper body, core, and legs.
- Music from the latest top hits to motivate your workout

Cycle 45
Cycle (45) is all about enjoying the ride. Whether you’re riding for a healthier heart training for a triathlon, our team can get you there. Feel the energy, challenge your potential, and get you to your destination.
Participants can expect:
- Various exercises and drills to optimize your exercise training regimen.
- A mix of strength and endurance challenges that will help you burn calories even after your ride.

Hardcore
Look no further if you are searching for a way to to improve your core strength, balance, and coordination.
Participants can expect:
- 30-minute program that focuses on strengthening your core muscles.
- Exercises that challenge supporting muscle groups such as back, and glutes

HIIT
This 45-minute High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class will utilize alternating, short periods of high intensity exercises with less intense periods of recovery for the ultimate muscular endurance workout.
Participants can expect:
- Exercises that keep the heart rate high, and challenge cardiovascular capacity.
- Motivational instructors to push you through several rounds and circuits

Morning Flow
This yoga practice will begin with an easy warm-up, sun salutations, and a series of poses designed to work the body to the core, helping to loosen the joints, and get the blood flowing. Focus will be on strengthening, lengthening, and stretching through a creative series of postures in a constant motion.
Come in loose-fitting clothes and bring a small blanket or yoga towel.

Pilates
This revolutionary series of exercises is based on breathing and muscle control focused particularly on your core.
Participants can expect:
- Lengthen and strengthen the body using core muscle groups through a series of low-impact exercise.
- Improve posture, enhance injury prevention, increase strength and flexibility.

Power Yoga
This upbeat yoga class will tone, strengthen, and stretch your body. Power Yoga holds poses longer to increase strength, flexibility, and balance.
Participants can expect:
- The incorporation of arm balances and inversions to challenge your physical and mental limits.
- A positive and uplifting environment that is inclusive to all levels.

AquaZen
Looking for something new and fun to try this summer? Soak up the sun and join us for AquaZen using our new Bogafit boards in the outdoor pool! Exercises will enhance the benefits of traditional yoga movements while minimizing the harsh impacts of traditional land exercises. So bring your bathing suit and prepare for a the best meditative experience on water.

BodyShred
This is a quick, high-intensity, & endurance based 30-minute workout that will utilize a 3-2-1 interval approach:
- 3 minutes of strength training.
- 2 minutes of cardio endurance.
- 1 minute of abdominal/core workouts

Total Body
This class is a full body strength class that incorporates training exercises for the entire body.
Participants can expect:
- A variety of strength training exercises using free-weights and bodyweight
- Conditioning drills that decrease recovery time and increase working time.

TRX® Total Body
TRX® Suspension Training provides a total body strengthening workout focused on using your own body weight. This challenging experience is guaranteed to provide results even professional athletes can attest to.
Participants can expect:
- To be challenged with performance-based exercise programming .
- A unique understanding of how to use your body to increase strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular capacity.

Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa flow is a combination of yoga poses that focuses on the synchronization of breath and continuous flow of movement.
Participants can expect:
- A practice that builds heat, endurance, flexibility, and mental focus.
- A continuous sequence of sun salutations and standing postures.

Yoga for Relaxation
This class will help you find your inner Chi and bring yourself back to reality. You will lengthen and stretch tired muscles to recover from whatever the week threw at you.
Participants can expect:
- Yoga poses designed for maximal relaxation and restoration.
- A calming atmosphere that resets your mind and body.

UREC is ready to take fitness to you because we understand faculty, staff, and students are busy. Fitness on the Geaux brings UREC instructors or personal trainers to your location and provides your group a customized class or educational session of your choice. Registration
- Fill out the Registration Form.
- You’ll then be contacted via email within 5 business days regarding registration status.
- If a member(s) of the group needs to get medical release from a registered physician before the start of training, they must do so within 10 days of receiving confirmation. If medical clearance is not received within 10 days, the entire group’s reservation will be forfeited.
