COVID-19 Extended Memberships

The COVID-19 Extended Membership is provided to LSU students who were full-time during the Spring 2020 semester.

  • LSU full-time students who were enrolled during the Spring 2020 semester.
  • Yes, this membership can be activated during a summer term if you are not enrolled as a full time student. This membership extension can be activated in person by visiting the main operations desk at the UREC.
  • This membership extension can be activated in person by visiting the main operations desk at the UREC
  • If you do not request to activate your membership prior to your graduation, it will automatically be activated for the following semester upon your graduation from the university.
  • This membership cannot be frozen, cancelled, or refunded. Continuing students are still responsible for their University Required Activity Fees as part of their tuition and fees package and may not use this membership in lieu of those fees.
  • If your membership should be active but it is not active, please contact the Assistant Director of Facilities, Drew Cantwell at dcantwell@lsu.edu.
  • The COVID-19 Membership will begin at the conclusion of your graduating semester or a semester of your choosing while a part-time student.
  • The COVID-19 Membership extension will expire at the end of the semester in which it started.
  • The COVID-19 Membership extension is only good for one semester.
  • As a full-time student, UREC fees are included on your fee bill each semester. The COVID-19 extended membership cannot replace your required activity fee. Rather, this membership can be activated upon request during a semester you are not enrolled as a full-time student or the semester after your graduation.
  • The COVID-19 Extended Membership is associated with our Student Membership category. Spouses/Dependents may purchase semester or annual memberships at the Student Spouse/Dependent rate.
  • No, the COVID-19 Membership extension is non-transferable to other people.
  • This membership cannot be frozen, cancelled, or refunded. Continuing students are still responsible for their University Required Activity Fees as part of their tuition and fees package and may not use this membership in lieu of those fees.
