Overview and Schedule
Scuba Lessons are designed to give the skills to a diver who then plans to pursue test out dives within 8 months of completing Scuba Lessons at UREC. These test out dives are not offered through UREC, and the participant is responsible for pursuing this course on their own.
Scuba Lessons will be a 4 days, full scale curriculum of information that will combines classroom and pool sessions. By the end of the 4 days of lessons, participants will have the ability to pursue a test out dives. Participants must attend all classes.

- Test Out Dive to become Scuba Certified
- Swimsuit and wetsuit
Participants can choose to provide own snorkel, mask and fins or pay an additional $50 to instructor for necessary equipment.
*Registration, medical clearance form, assumption of risk, and online component must be completed prior to class. Certain medical history could make a participant ineligible to participate, unless written medical clearance is provided.

If a scheduled time does not reach the 4 participant minimum:
- Shift to an alternate scuba lesson offering
- Receive a full refund
* LSU Employees may fill out an application for Payroll Deduction for payment. Registration is still required.
