For returning students, welcome back! For new students, welcome to LSU and LSU University Recreation. We are equally excited to kick off the new school year with all of you.

The new semester brings back the opportunity to get involved on campus through student organizations, Greek Life, volunteering, and so much more.  We also want to welcome all members to come see everything UREC has to offer.  All full time students are members, so make sure to bring your Tiger Card.

LSU has an amazing week planned for all students during Welcome Week, and I invite everyone to LSU UREC All Access on Tuesday, August 20 from 6 p.m. – 12 a.m.  There will be free food (while it lasts), free UREC Tradition T-shirts, Avengers: Endgame, and activities all night long.  You will experience everything that UREC has to offer all under one roof.

It will be an event for the ages, and you will not want to miss it. Grab your friends, roommates, or floor mates, and join us on August 20 from 6 p.m – 12 a.m.  Tiger Card is required, and swim suit is encouraged.

The Fall 2019 semester is full of programs designed to get you active, make new friends, and succeed in the classroom. We cannot wait to see you around your facilities which includes the Main UREC Complex, the UREC Field Complex on River Road, and UREC at Nicholson Gateway. We also have the outdoor pools, tennis courts, and sand volleyball courts that are open for your enjoyment.

Start off the new school year on the path to wellbeing and create 30 – 60 minutes in your day to succeed at LSU.

On behalf of the UREC Team,

Laurie Braden
