Membership Categories and Rates

Full-time students

All currently enrolled, full-time LSU students are eligible to use LSU UREC by presenting their Tiger Card at the entry station.

• Fall or spring semester   $65
• Summer semester   $25

*UREC fees are included in the full-time tuition-fee bill paid directly to the Office of Bursar Operations at the current student rate.

Part-time students

Part-time students (in summer semester this is equal to those enrolled in five or less hours) are eligible to purchase a UREC membership at the current Student Rate. Part-time students are in the UREC database and need only present their LSU Tiger Card at the time of purchase.

Summer Continuing

LSU students who are registered full-time for the Fall semester, and had a full course load in the Spring semester, may purchase a summer continuing membership for the summer months.

Spouse, dependent and family rates

Student members extend their membership to their spouse, dependent or family.

A family consists of up to four members of a nuclear family. Each additional family member must pay the individual rate in the applicable category.

Faculty and Staff

LSU faculty and staff are eligible for UREC membership by presenting their Tiger Card at the UREC Student Recreation Center Operations Desk.

Seven day all-access

Current LSU faculty and staff are eligible for a one-time seven day trial of UREC facilities and programs.  Individuals may claim this offer in person at the UREC Student Recreation Center operations desk by showing their Tiger Card.

PLUS ONE rates

UREC Faculty/Staff members may sponsor one person of their choosing with PLUS ONE membership.  This person is eligible for a UREC membership at the current faculty/staff member rate.  The faculty/staff sponsor must be present to sign up and renew their sponsored guest’s membership. Both individuals must present valid photo identification at the time of signup or renewal. The length of the PLUS ONE membership may not exceed that of the Faculty/Staff sponsor.

Faculty/staff members may extend their membership to their family.

• Family (summer semester):   $186

LSU Alumni

LSU Alumni are eligible for UREC membership by presenting a valid photo ID at the UREC Student Recreation Center Operations Desk. LSU Alumni are only considered those individuals who have received a diploma from LSU.

LSU Affiliate

LSU UREC extends membership opportunities to those groups who have a direct relationship with LSU. Some examples include: Campus Federal, Chartwells, LSU School of Banking, the Louisiana Business & Technology Center, LSU Family Association, Senior State Administrators, and all elected Louisiana officials.
