UREC is gearing up for another summer full of some great GroupX classes that will meet your needs, and will challenge you while also helping you achieve your fitness goals! Stay tuned for the GroupX Summer 2013 schedule that will be posted soon! Head out to Baton Rouge Beach, “aka” Milford Wampold Memorial Park on Memorial Day from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. to participate in this one-time only Xtreme Bootcamp GroupX class! Space is limited to the first 30 participants. Click above to reserve your spot now! There will be no GroupX classes held from May 13 – 26. A one-time only Xtreme Bootcamp GroupX class will be held on Memorial Day at Baton Rouge Beach from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 28 will begin the beginning of a two-week modified scheduled before the Summer 2013 GroupX schedule begins.

About UREC GroupX
UREC GroupX classes are exercise classes taught in a group setting allowing participants to motivate each other while working with a trained instructor. GroupX is available to UREC members at no additional cost.
CLASS INTENSITY SCALE
Please review the below when selecting a GroupX class that best compliments your fitness level. However, instructors will provide modifications if needed to accommodate all fitness levels.

Reserve your spot online!
Click here to reserve your spot in GroupX classes. Online registration is available only on the class day. All registration closes either 30 minutes prior to class start-time or 4 p.m., whichever comes first. Registration for morning classes (5:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.) will begin the night prior to the class at 7 p.m.
What if the class I prefer is full?
Each class has a maximum class registration with wait-list spots available.
If you are placed on the waitlist when attempting to register, you must come to the class ten minutes prior to its start time to see if any available spots have opened. A non-registered participant may show up for a class ten minutes prior but is not guaranteed a spot. Wait list participants will not be allowed into a class until 9 minutes prior to the start of a class.
Nobody will be allowed to enter a class after it has begun. This is for your safety and the safety of other participants.
Minimum class size & cancellations
If a UREC GroupX class has not met minimum participation, the class time will be reduced to 30 minutes or will be canceled for that day. If a specific class has three or fewer participants for three consecutive weeks, the class will be canceled for the remainder of the semester.

Online Fitness Classes
Beginner Kickboxing Fitcast
In this high-energy 30-minute cardio class, you will learn the basics of kickboxing while getting your heart rate up and working up a sweat. By the end of this class you will learn combinations of various punches and kicks that will leave you feeling ready to take on anything life throws at you.
Advanced Core Fitcast
Have you taken a core class in-studio or online before and would like a new challenge? This class is the challenge you are looking for. It will include more advanced core exercises to keep your core looking and feeling stronger than ever.
