UREC sat down with Kimberly Sevin D’Souza, a LSU graduate student, to discuss some of the reasons why she participated in this year’s challenge, and what benefits she hopes the program will provide her with moving forward. Tomatoes, peppers, and squash….learn more about UREC’s newly planted garden and how it utilizes sustainability efforts through composting of food scraps. Over Spring Break, I went on the UREC Deep Sea Fishing Trip to Jekyll Island and made so many memories! It was non-stop fun from fishing, to biking, to kayaking, to playing some pretty intense mini golf. Even though I was sleeping in a tent every night and eating tons of peanut butter sandwiches, I felt like I was living the life.
